What is Okonkwo personality in the story?

Okonkwo is a person who has a complex personality. He is one side a harsh and tough person and the other side he has a fear of having shame about the softness of his heart. Okonkwo's life began as heroic person and well known by all the villages as the best wrestler and at the end he has a dramatic life. First thing is that his son become christian and took another way of life and he wants to be different of what his father has done to him. The second thing is that he has lost his title of being famous and heroic because the white were in the village to take the power over the oracle and there were an anarchy. The last thing that changed his life was the murder of the messenger. It was a stupid act that Okonkwo have done and he suicides himself. That was the end of the story.
